Stage-Based Permissions (RBAC)
Different roles see different actions per stage:
Agents:
- Can create/edit deals in Draft and Documents Pending
- Cannot modify Active deals (requires Manager approval)
- Can upload documents at any stage
Managers:
- Full access to all stages
- Can override compliance blocks
- Approve rent amounts >AED 200,000
Property Administrators:
- Can view all company deals, upload and verify documents
- Can view all payment schedules and track collections
- Can only edit deals assigned to them
- Cannot create deals, edit properties, or modify financial terms
This prevents: Unauthorized changes to active leases, compliance violations from inexperienced staff.
Common Questions
Q: Can I skip stages? A: No. Each stage has mandatory requirements. However, if all requirements are met, transitions can be instant.
Q: What if Ejari is rejected? A: Deal returns to "Documents Complete". Fix issues highlighted by DLD and resubmit.
Q: Can deals go backwards? A: Only Managers can move deal backwards (for corrections). All changes are audit-logged.
Q: How long should each stage take? A:
- Draft: 15 min - 2 days
- Documents Pending: 2-3 days
- Documents Complete: 1-2 days
- Contract Signed: 1-3 days
- Ejari Submitted: 1-3 days
- Total: 7-14 days
Understanding the workflow empowers you to manage expectations, identify bottlenecks, and move deals faster from Draft to Active.
