Your Admin enables WhatsApp in Settings → Notifications. TenancyDesk sends from its own business number — no Meta account and no provider contract needed.
TenancyDesk sends WhatsApp messages from its own WhatsApp Business number. Your agency does not register with Meta, does not buy a number and does not sign up with a messaging provider.
Turning it on
An Admin opens Settings → Notifications → Channel Setup → WhatsApp and switches on Enable WhatsApp. A short form asks for a Phone Number, the WhatsApp Message Language and a consent tick. The panel then shows Monthly Usage and lets you send a test message.
What goes out
Tenants and owners receive updates about their tenancy — for example a portal invitation, a rejected document, a legal notice or a completed registration — when they have a mobile number on file and have not opted out. Messages are in English or Arabic.
The Notification Preferences grid at the top of the same tab is for your own alerts: each person turns WhatsApp on for the alerts they want. Rows marked Required stay on.
Monthly allowance
Solo 20 · Starter 100 · Professional 300 · Enterprise as set in your Order Form. If you need more, the +100 WhatsApp Messages pack is AED 40 (VAT included): a one-time purchase that adds 100 messages for 30 days.
Opt-out
Recipients reply STOP (or CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, إيقاف, توقف) to stop messages; START (or SUBSCRIBE, ابدأ) resumes them. This is automatic.
Your own number
Sending from your own WhatsApp Business number is available on Enterprise, by request — contact us. It is not a self-service option.

Enable the channel

Know what clients receive
Tenants and owners with a mobile number on file receive tenancy updates in English or Arabic, unless they reply STOP.
